It's weird, because I have the Bullet muffler with a test pipe, and I really don't find it that loud...
This is an area though where most of the "performance" cars are V8s, so in comparison maybe my I4 won't sound very loud. Also, cops don't seem to hassle people much about things like loud exhausts, not that I've noticed anyway. It also helps that I don't go WOT through the residential areas or town centers (save that for the back roads!)
Keep in mind though that if you asked my wife, she would say I'm a little on the deaf side (based on my always having to turn the volume up on the TV after she's been watching it...
)
