Obviously you've made your choice on springs vs. coil-overs and that is your option. I myself have Hotchkiss springs and like them very much. They ride very similar to stock while providing a 1.2" drop in the front and a .78" drop in the back if I remember correctly. I've heard the Sprint and Espilir (sp?) springs are good choices as are the Works springs. JustDSM and JohnEB both run the Hotchkiss springs also and I believe both of them are quite satisfied with them.

I wouldn't try to get the biggest drop you can find as it will negatively affect your alignment settings which don't have a lot of room to begin with. The Tein S-Techs are extremely low and if your not careful you may end up scraping some undertray or bumper skin.

"Ride like crap" is a subjective term so if you have a chance take a ride in someone else's Evo that has lowering springs and see how you like them.
