Note that I mentioned 'budget' competition tire...naturally tires such as the RE-01s or Yokos are superior however you pay the price.
I suppose it depends on your approach to tires...if you want something quickly and highly 'expandable' I'd still recommend the Kumhos as a quick fix however if it were my money I'd simply run whatever I have whie I saving up for some decent rubber.
