So, I pulled the engine, dropped the oil pan and found this. I didn't remove anything else at all, internally. Everything looks pretty clean to me, although the crank nearly landed on me when I dropped the oil pan. Is it supposed to do that??

Did you take the caps off your self or are you tell us that there were none? Plus did you take the pistons out? Were they connected or not or Loose?
