Do the evos have starter plates like dsms do? If starter is good then try shimming it like the older gms. If you dont shim properlly the older gms they will make all sort of noises so thats i geuss what you should try. other then that change the started again and see if it goes awey. maybe you got the 2 starters with bad solenoids. I dont think so but its a possibility.
