Japanese auto manufacturer, Motors plans to to launch its luxury sedan
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X in India by the end of June or in July-2009. Mitsubishi Motors will launch this car in India as a joint venture with Hindustan Motors. The launch of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will be preceded by its most popular SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) Mitsubishi Outlander. According to the company officials Mitsubishi Motors plans to bring Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) through import and they will decide whether this car can be manufactured here locally or not. Bringing it as a CBU may push the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X price to high end. In Internatinal market the car costs $30,473 (Rs 12 lakh) to $32,697 (Rs 13 lakh) for different variants but after adding the import duties Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X price will lead to Rs 21.70 lakh to Rs 23.5 lakh.
