Well, if it's not already that big, spreading it out will make it pixelated and useless. You need a high res pic that is LARGER than 2000 pixel-width, then size it DOWN.
Basically, if the photo isn't taken at 2000 pixels or above, there's not much you can do. As Warrtalon said, trying to resize a photo to make it bigger will only reduce the quality of the image.
