Is this appropriate? (for the mods and the admin)

On the site I help to admin, we have a thread running on our off-topic forum called "xxxxxx.com post of the day." The thread is in its third incarnation, due to the bandwidth taken by the number of posts, and it's the most popular discussion we have.

Essentially, folks refer and quote/link utterly ridiculous posts from our rival forum (EvoM in this case) and we all have some fun and share a few laughs. Is this sort of thing appropriate here?

As a side note, it may attract some new members. It did for us.

I think the less linked back over there the better. Just let it go away. Is it appropriate? As long as there are no personal attacks or insults... we'll see.
Don't let this lead to arguing either. Some members here are members over there, so any complaints need go to PM's.
... and thank you very much for asking for clarification on this.

Hi, Larry. This sort of thing is hard to do without an insult along the way, so it's probably best to let it go.

My question was driven by several comments I saw right before I posted, which asserted that Advans with less tread have less grip than their brand new counterparts. There's a lot more material to work with, and that's just from ~10 minutes of browsing.

Hey Felix, with as much fun as that type of thread could probably generate I think it might lead to too many problems that we probably would rather do without.
