Angry 03 evo 8 problem

the mods i have are Megan Racing headers, and o2 housing ( came with the car when i bought it 2 years ago),Titek downpipe, dsg made test pipe, greddy ti-c cat back,mr bov,maf adapter and air filter,Hallman EVOLUTION Boost Controller @ 23psi,still have the stock clutch and spark plugs.

i resently got my car dyno tune at DSG it was running smooth. then a week later when i was in 3 gear and accelerate from 3500rpms my car jerks back and forth then took off.
I was hearing a sputtering sound. my boost guage went from 0psi to 23psi. in between the the boost going from 0-23psi it stop for a second.

some friends said i have a boost leak, or my clutch is slipping. then another said that i need to upgrade my plugs. i just want to know what the problem is quick so i can get it fixed.

Do a boost test, check your gaps on your plugs. First things to do.

Replace your plugs and do a boost leak test, is it only happening at full boost?

You will know if its your clutch slipping. If you hit the gas and get up to WOT and the car isnt actually going faster then your clutch is slipping. You still hear the turbo wind up but you dont go anywhere when that happens.

Dyno's can be really hard on any car. Make sure you take it to a shop that doesnt suck and you should be ok. Also make sure they have the right dyno. Since the Evo is AWD you need a specific dyno for that.

Your problem does sound like its the plugs, have you ever had the car tuned before this dyno run?

I am having the same problem, in every gear beyond 3500 rpms. Right after the turbo winds up it studders... It seems like it cuts off, in and out about three times, and then takes off. I am going to replace the plugs and flash it back to stock. Beyond that I haven't heard of any "quick fixes", unfortunately.

Changed the plugs and got it flashed by Mitsubishi, now my car runs like a dream. I am pretty sure the ECU flash on my car just wasn't the "right" one.... Had any luck so far???

Do you have a wideband? sounds like your running rich during part throttle.
