05 vs. 06 MR
hey guys in looking to buy an EVO MR in a few weeks. I know i want the MR and i have read a bit on here and it seems to be that alot of you prefer the 5 speed over the 6. I want a 6 speed but also i don't think i'll ever be making more than around 300 hp. I just plan on doing exhaust intake and possibly a very mild tune just to match the exhaust and intake. Also i won't be racing so do you guys think the tranny will hold up? i have been looking at the 2006's but can anyone fill me in on the big differences between 05 and 06? i know the 06 has a larger compressor housing. Does the 05 have MIVEC? also does anyone know if the cam gears are solid or do they have cut outs in them to be able to use a cam lock tool to do the timing belt? Any info would be great, just not sure to go 05 or 06
