What is the difference? I searched and all I see is suspension. Is that all? Not sure which direction that I want to go. I am looking at a 06 MR but I hear that 6 speed isnt that great. I found a SE now that has nothing done to it but didnt want to even mess with it if there is a big variance from the IX or MR.

The IX SE is like a mix between the IX and the IX MR. Ill list the things that are different on the IX SE than on the IX.

Headlights
Tailights
Wheels - BBS wheels
Roof - Aluminum

Im sure there are other things that I didnt list, but thats just a general idea. Im sure others will chime in about stuff that I have missed.

There are rumors that the turbo in the SE is slightly different than what is in the IX. Something about the turbine being different and its able to generate slightly more power. Do I know if its true? No. There were tests supposed to be done by a few garages but those fell through.

Its been said that the 6 speed tranny is weak above 400 hp. Usually people lose 4th gear before anything else. Honestly, in my opinion, id go for the SE. I have one in Graphite Gray and I love it.

Yeah I got it all figured out...never even thought to hit up the Ol Wiki. Yeah I am going to go for the SE. Going to go look at it tomorrow. Hopefully I will be a Evo owner by Saturday.

the evo IX MR and SE have the same wheels just on the SE they are not charcol they are diamond black. The MR has bilstien suspension, aluminum roof, zerolift kit, hids, fog lights, 6 spd, that is all i can think of right now. good luck on getting a evo post up some pics when you get it, and welcome to the family

i owne an evo 9 mr and there is a bit more then that(hood,doors,fenders and trunk are also aluminum i checked with a magnet sorry to cut in guys allso has beter suspention

all that is the same with the regular evo. the roof is the only major difference. The suspension was listed. the bilsteins are a nice ride, but most people ditch for a full coilover setup.
