1/8 mile !

hey i dont like to launch my car at all but i want to a 1/8 mile strip on my friends gst and was doing pretty good for being my 1st time. he was doing high 10s i i got 9 5 most of my runs anyways i was just wondering if this would work on my evo holding the rpms at 3500 and letting the cluth out as soon as i see the third yellow . and i was wondering what my #s would be on a stock 05 evo thanks.

No, that will not work. That will just kill your clutch. Anything below 5k, and you're either going to bog or burn the hell out of the clutch. Even 5k is too low for most people.

9.5 in the 1/8th would be awful for an Evo. In my 05 when stock, my first run was an 8.4@80 in 70* weather with 93* near sea level on a 1.92 60' (not good).

Warrtalon is right, 5K or higher.
The reason for the low RPM's in the GS-T is because of the FWD. Anything higher and your going to spin the tires. I used to have one and thought it was pretty good, now I know better.
If you don't like to launch it, just take off like normal and have a gang of horsepower.
