Does anyone have the directions on how to wire the AFC NEO into the EVO 8 ECU?

It's basically the same process of splicing in an S-AFC II throttle, tach, cut the air flow etc;

Ok so everything is connected right except the orange wire. Where is a good place to put it?

IMO, the best place to put it is on Ebay and then get flashed.

Unfortunately, I don't know where the orange wire should go. It looks like it gets tapped into the power source for your audio.

This Guy(Warrtalon) is great! I do agree with him! Ive had both and know the difference. You can sell the AFC and flash you car 2 times!

The orange wire can go to any switched power.

I've had both, too, and now that EcuFlash is available, it kills me to see new guys purchasing SAFC NEOs. Before EcuFlash, my SAFC 1 served me well for 7 years.

The more and more I play with ECUflash, the more and more I feel there will always be a place for AFC's. From a DIY standpoint;
Flashing does offer great control, across the entire driving range of the car... and it's practicaly free. However in half the time I could have been romping the car very safely with an AFC and 650's (maybe it's just because I'm new to flashing ).
For people who want to learn and are just getting into tuning, the AFC is a great first step. It was for me anyways, you learn the critical relationships, and it makes good power.
Yea, you can pay for someone elses maps, but what have you really learned. Are you comfortable making additional changes where you need it?
ECUflash is great. I love working with it. However, if I was just staring out and don't like monkeys touching my car; S-AFC is the way to go.

Blah, s-afc are the Atari's of the gaming console world of today.

You can do so much more with reflashing the ecu.

Not to mention that most people with SAFCs still pay other people to tune it for them. That's what makes me cringe the most. It's so easy, simple, and cheap to just get a $50 eflash and go from there. You can either tweak the base flash yourself with EcuFlash, leave it alone, or then use the SAFC (if you already have one) to tune on top of it WITHOUT needing injectors. There are just so many alternatives that are superior to purchasing an SAFC as a primary tuning device.

To update. I have finished the install and it seems to be working fine. Still have to data log it and tune it. About the reflash. Are you guys talking about doing the reflashes at home off of your own computers?

of course we are, everyones doing it except you... You should really look into it if you really want the most out of your car.

As much as I liked using my S-AFC, this stuff is awsome. No monkey is touching my car and that includes the ECU;
