BOV Hose Vs. Turbo Hose

today i installed my hallman boost controller and i used turbolarrys tech article to install it, which was a great help by the way and i would like to thank him for writing it!

in the article it says to tee off from the line going out of the bov, but what i am wondering is why you cant just use the outlet on the turbo itself? i am just curious, i did not know if it was better or what...

You can use the turbo compressor outlet pipe nipple just the same. That is the method I prefer, but both methods work.

the argument ive always heard of between the two is the difference in "actual" turbo pressure you see. One is sourced from inside the manifold, which means your controlling pressure based on a source from behind the throttle body, and the other is a source way early in the system. some say that the difference in pressure and rate of boost increase may vary due to the length of the tubing, intercooler efficiency, etc. Personally I agree with Warr, either source works fine.
