Hello everyone I looking into buying a 06 evo mr with 800 miles on it. the dealer is asking for $35k do you guys think the price is good??? im not sure if they could lower it. also im looking at another evo 9 mr but with 20k miles and the dealer is asking for $32k. are these prices to high or is that what there going for???
just try and buy private party. my buddy just sold his IX MR for 29,000 with only 13k on her. dealers know how hard these cars are to find these days, so they rape you pretty hard. i bought my IX RS for 27k otd a year and a half ago, and a dealer in vegas had my same car with 15k more miles on it for 31k. good luck though

KBB puts both of those '06 MR's at about $32K, but that's in my zip code. Try yours and see what it says; Blue Book Values, Trade-in, Sell or Buy Used Cars - Official Kelley Blue Book Site
Since they are at a dealership they are going to work hard to make a profit, but it looks like the 800 miler has more room to come down in price.
TSiber RYDER is right too about considering private party too. An 800 mile '06 MR is under $30K that way.
Yea thanks guys. I wanna buy it at the dealer becasue im going to trade in my car. Do you guys think 20k on a 06 mr is alot of miles?? i dont wanna buy a car thats going to get messed up after a couple of months of driving. I also like the one with 20k becasue its white the 800miles one is dark grey. I checked kbb with my zip and it was $31k for both cars. I thought i would be more for the 800mile one just because it has less miles.
Tell the dealer that you can buy a brand new Evo X for 35K with the entire warranty intact. I know that's not what you want but it may help in bargaining. Definitely check Edmunds and find out what the Evo is going for in your area and look at blue book pricing. I'd offer them a thousand less than that price and then work your way to a middle ground.
Also, don't mention your trade until you've negotiated a price on the Evo. If the dealer knows you want to make a trade they'll try to work it so they pay less for your trade to recup the loss on the Evo. Treat each transaction as completely seperate buys. And knowing what your car is worth helps. Also, have your current ride fully detailed before you go in to negotiate...you can make a coule hundred to a grand more on the trade if your ride looks super clean.
thanks i will do that. I dont like the nex X. i would rather have a 9mr kbb is saying it work 32k so im going to offter them 30k for it the start from there i have a galves book so that will help alot on me knowing how much they got it for
so i went to the dealer today he only dopped the pice to $34,700 for the 9mr w/ 845miles on it the car after taxes and eveything is probably going uo to $40k. would this still be worth it?? i put a down payment on it so no one else could buy it but have untill sat to decide on what im going to do
I will sell you my 06 MR with 7600 miles for 30k. This comes with performance and stereo all done!
Haha sound like a good deal but would you take my rsx off my hands haha thats the only reason im going through a dealer so I can trade in my type-s. Im to lazy to try and sell it private.
Well no offense but it seems you may be too lazy to save a few thousand dollars. If they are gonna rape you on the cost of the MR what do you think they're gonna do to you on your trade?
Well then with that thought process there's really no point in asking for our help. Enjoy the new ride but we warned ya, you'll be paying too much for it.
