Comment on my upcoming mods and couple questions...

New to this forum btw. I am picking up my AMS turboback with testpipe and downpipe and ARC induction box tomorrow. I am running stock turbo maybe getting IX one but not anytime soon. Looking into getting the following next:

-Walboro Fuel Pump
-Ebay o2 housing
-DNP T3/T4 Exhaust Manifold
-Greddy Spec II Boost Controller
-AMS Intercooler + Lower Intercooler pipe
-ACT or Exedy Stage 2 Clutch
-ApexI Coil Overs
-JUN 272 Camshafts

My question is what should I get first in priority. Also, I do not know which clutch system to get. I am a daily driver and enjoy launching but not with the stock clutch I have right now. In addition, I am wondering why everytime I have weird noises when I shift especially when I am in reverse and parking the back and the front seems to be making sounds, I think it is the OEM clutch laughing @ me again. Also when should I get a tune? Should I get one right after I install my turboback and intake or do everything at once? I want to tune it myself, but it seems complicated and where do I get these "Files" to put on the laptop to my evo? Any comments on mod changing is appreciated.

Thank you.

Get the Walbro fuel pump, boost controller and tune next. At that point youll be happy with the power that youre making. ACT clutches have gear lockout at high RPM and if you go with the Exedy, I would suggest getting a twin disc since you like launching so much.

Tuning, i guess you could say its difficult. There is a lot of reading and logging. Start off with logging. See if you can get ahold of EvoScan 2.5 and a tactrix cable. Also buy yourself a wideband. I went with the AEM UEGO and the install wasnt so bad. With this setup you can also log your AFR's on EvoScan. You could also get EvoScan 2.6, but some people are having problems with logging AFR's with it. There is absolutly nothing wrong with 2.5. Here is the link for EvoScan EvoScan OBDII Mitsubishi MUTII DataLogger Scantool I think its about 25 bucks.

EcuFlash can be downloaded too, but its free.

have you ever tuned a car or know about ecutuning? Your basic mod list should be at most:
TBE
Intake
IC pipes
Boost controller
BOV
Fuel pump
cams
Exhaust mani
O2 Housing
Tune!

Why do you have a t3/t4 mani listed in that list? and no t3/t4 turbo? I would also look into ETS FMIC and piping. If you are going to tune yourself you should start reading now, there is a good write up/how to get started with ecuflash on this site. I would reccomend get someone who knows what they are doing to help you out.

I think for the tune, I am just gonna send my car to a local shop for a tune. As for next mods, I'm gonna get Greddy Profec II Spec B and Walboro Fuel pump 255 and concentrate on exterior next.

so the only mods you have are a TBE and intake? Skip the profec and get the shop who is going to tune you to use ecu controlled boost, this will be cheaper. you will need a evo X map sensor and a new boost solenoid and a good tuner. it can be done for about $150 without the tune or cable for ecuflash. fuel pump is needed for a added safety if your raising boost levels

there are plenty of good manifolds out there or just have the OEM one ported and coated. you should also check out the CBRD BBK turbo if you want a stock frame turbo....
