Considering some choices!!??

Hi everyone I am new here to evo forum, came from the 3si.org 3000gt forum. I currently still own one but unfortunately it was totaled a little over a week ago. I am considering a new car of some sort to still have something fun and reliable.

I currently own a scion 08 xb which is ok when I had my 3000gt, but now thats gone I need to replace it with something fun, I want awd and space. I considered getting a vr-4, but I am looking down the road for the long run. A 3000gt has no room at all other then front seats lol, so that put that idea out of my head pretty quickly.

I then immediatly thought of evos, and stis but am just not a fan of stis since a ton of people own them and they dont appeal to me like evos do.

So my dilema is what model do I choose? The models I am considering are EVO X mr, EVO X GSR, and the old EVO 9 GSR or is it MR? I am not to familiar with the 9.

Just wanted some pros and cons. I may upgrade in the future not sure as of yet, most likely with a evo it will eventually be faster. I have ben reading some things about the x mr vs gsr, and it seems like the gsr is a little more upgrade friendly?

I most likely end up with a X because I love the body style but I still like the old one a good bit. Just wanting to get some opinions

Thanks my name is kyle btw

From what I have read the evo x is not quite as fast as the 8 or 9 in the straits but it can carve through corners faster and harder. The x mr is not as tuner freindly but thats only because of the dual clutch tranny, as soon as someone makes upgraded clutch packs for them they will be just as potent as the gsr, more expensive but just as potent. The x you will have a factory warranty so thats a plus, if you get an 8 or 9 you mights be able to get a warranty but only if you pay more for it. Just go out and talk to owners of all the different models and ask there opinions and some may even let you test drive if you ask nice enough. Just get out there and ask around. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I drive an IX MR and absolutly love it! a few weeks ago i took the evo X MR for a test drive to see what all the hype was about. dont get me wrong its a really nice car but it just wasn't for me. the F-1 paddle shifters were interesting but i wasn't really a fan. I also didnt like all the luxury items (gps, cruise control, ect) to me evo's arn't about luxury they're just about going really fast! don't take my word for it though go to a dealership and test drive an X for yourself :-D im sure you'll love either one!
