i just bought a talon with supposed evo III swapped into it, think the kid was an idiot on things and i need to figure out what i'm really dealing with...so if someone could tell me where to find the engine block id it'd be very helpful, i know what the dif codes are, just need to find out what one i now own
I'm not sure of the block id number but the evo III has 9.0:1 c/r so if you check the compression it should be slightly higher than a usdm 7-bolt motor (forgot off the top of my head). Also, its not a sure fire way cause he might have put one on himself but it should have the evo III 16g turbo which should have a part number of 49178-01470. Hope this helps.
