Question EVO 9 Peaking at 17PSI High Altitude

I bought a IX about a month ago, got my boost gauge in, and found that i am peaking boost at 17PSI and i taper off to 13,14 by around 6K. I live in Idaho where the elevation is about 5000. Is this normal boost behavior due to my elevation? or should i be concerned about boost leaks, anything else?

they normally run to 19 and taper to 16-17 but that would be at sea level. someof the other members in the mountains may have some insight. Just get a MBC and turn it up a little.

So you would suggest getting a MBC and get it closer to the 19 a stock IX should be? Anyone at high altitude know how safe that would be on a stock IX? (only mod is k&n intake) or would it be wise to wait for the TBE before i start turning up the boost?

you can turn it up but you will see more gains with more mods obviously.
Boost gauge
TBE
Intake
Fuel pump
MBC
and tune

That is what i would do.
