Evo III Swap?

So, I own a 95 Mitsubishi Mirage (Lancer) S. It's a POS but I'm willing to work on it, or at least try my best.

The problem: I want an AWD Evo III out of the car, and I'm pretty sure it's on the same chassis. I plan on at least getting the engine/tranny swap done (if not, hopefully the whole RHD conversion), and all the extra performance, interior/exterior mods later on. I don't know alot about cars, and I wanted to do the work myself with the help of some friends.

The question(s): Do you have experience? WHat kind of welding does the FF need to be an AWD? Is the swap something that an be done within two days if working non stop and if I have the right tools parts? Is it worth it to convert it to RHD? All questions and opinions are appreciated.

I would go with no for 2 days. Probably 2 months of everyday would be more like it. Call Atlantic motorsports in MD. They have an employee who has done this before. I think he was selling his car at some point and wanted around 40k for it.

It is NOT the same chassis, it is based loosely on the same architecture. it is about 70% weaker (evo's have always been far stiffer than the base model cars, thats why they handle very good.) you have to custom fab a rear subframe, weld mounts in the rear for differing suspension, possibly widen the driveshaft tunnel, ect...

2 days would be completely impossible. do you have any fabircation experience at all? Access to a frame rack to keep the car straight while cutting and welding? ( for the AWD and RHD swaps)

Well thanks.

Maybe turning it into a lancer gsr? 4g63t engine swap with a newer eclipse fwd tranny? Possibly easier and no welding?
