Just wondering how much is the average payment to insure an evo. I'm currently with AAA California and did some shopping around. I have 1 accident at fault, no tickets and paying $1400+ annually with $500 deductable. Most other insurance companies have higher rates due to that 1 accident. My insurance expires soon so I'm requesting members to post insurance co. that can beat my rate. Are we being overcharged or discriminated against because we drive evos? How much is fair? Plz post your Evo insurance and compare.
$1400/year with only a $500 deductible is crazy low for an Evo with an accident. I would have expected double that ($1400/6mos), so I don't know how you managed to get it so incredibly low with an at-fault accident. You better hang on to that as long as you can.
What do you mean by "it expires soon"? Why would it expire? Don't you just keep renewing every 6 months?
Anyway, with no accidents, married, 30+, and a bunch of discounts (multi-car, alarm, etc.), our combined insurance is just under $2000/yr for my Evo and a 2008 Saturn Vue Redline. I think that's with 2 speeding tickets combined between us on record...

Thanks for the replies. Warr, what I meant was, I needed to renew my insurance soon and based on the replies, I think I'll stick with my insurance for now. Anyone else with comparable/lower rates out there? Plz post up!!
At 21 almost 22 I pay $148 a month, works out to $1176 a year with a $500 deductable with only the Evo on that policy, with no tickets and no at-fault accidents at all.

I'm going to make people cry, but with my evo 8, a 91 civic hatchback, a 91 eclipse awd turbo, and renters insurance I pay $138 per month. The cars all carry full coverage and the engine swap on my civic is covered as well. I'm 28, married, and still have a few tickets on my driving record. No accidents of my fault though. My deductible is $500.

wanted, if you don't mind posting..what insurance co. are you insured with? hopefully, it'll help evo owners in your area find a cheaper deal.
USAA. Unless they changed their membership rules, you either have to be current, prior, or retired military member or have been a military dependant. I'm in the "current" status and have had no reason to recheck the qualifications lately.
