Just my 2 cents:

1. Leave it stock and save the money for HPDE, trackdays and autoX. Don't bother with drag racing -- they don't do your Evo any favours and they don't make you a better street driver.

and/or

2. MR Bilsteins, fuel pump, boost gauge, custom tune, TBE, and (1) above. That's really all you need.

I used to think I was a good driver. A track evening with an instructor by my side taught me otherwise. Now I believe that a fast (and experienced) driver is more important that a fast car

As far as needing a volt gauge in your car, if you plan on getting just about any turbo timer or other performance type electronic device (safc, g meter, etc etc,) it will have a volt meter on it, or you can datalog volts with palm n stein if you worried about it. I got rid of the stock gauges (comes with the mr package) and did the radio relocate and got defi gauges for boost, egt, and oil temp.

The placement of the stock gauges is horrible, I beleive the boost was on the far right on the bottom of the console next to the shifter, which made it nearly impossible to monitor while going wot and watching the road.

Good luck with the evo, there is a ton of useful info here.

The stock placement is poor, but it's very easy to move the gauges to the top and move the boost gauge to the far left. No kit required...

Say what? A brand new Evo IX, and the wheel FELL OFF while driving? That's a lawsuit type offense. why did they replace all 4 rims? Weren't the other 3 brand news? Anway, glad they replaced the rotor, but I'd be worried about other structural damage that may not be noticeable to the naked eye.

You getting the BR package or the Warrtalon package? If you planned to get the Warrtalon package through Buschur, be sure to ask for it by name! I gotta get my credit, so Buschur knows I'm doing my job on this end.

yea it seemed a bit strange to me but they did a full inspection on it said all was good, they even fixed the front bumper where it got scratched a bit so i feel a bit better i guess. and yea i wrote it all down for my buddy told him to call them and order the warrtalon stg 1 package so no worries =p, as for all 4 rims i have no clue i guess they just wanted to make sure they were on this time i was to mad when it happened, though they did give me a new eclipse to play with while my car was being fixed, fun lil cars

Sounds like someone tried stealing the rims when the car was on their lot and ran off before finishing the job. Had that happen to a guy I worked with. He was driving down the road and his rear tire fell off and rolled down a hill. All his wheels only had one locking lug holding them on.
