Future EVO owner =)

Hey all, I just joined and i'm looking into purchasing an EVO either VIII or IX. I've had an SRT-4 for 2+ years and it's really fun, but i love the EVO and not really too much of a fan of STI's so i was just wondering what the major differences are between the VIII and IX. If the IX is worth the extra money it may cost and where there is a better place to buy an EVO. I know the SRTforums has a buy section and they're always cheaper there than cars.com or anything dealer or anything so just a little info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

the mivec is like a variable valve controller so it can change cam profile when needed. Also some things that make the IX different is the newly designed turbo which produces about40 more wheelhorsepower on a evo VIII with the basic boltons. The Evo IX also has larger cooling ports in the head which make it a more powerful car with mild mods. The highest horsepower evo in the world is still a evo VIII, just some perspective...
