I have had the JDM MR DV running smooth and fine for the last 3 months, and it has run completely perfectly with 1.5 bars of boost over 2 track days.

You either have a bad DV or a bad install. Either way, I have never heard of the MR DV not working out for people running under 1.5 bars of boost.

After installing the DV or anything engine part, I usually disconnect the battery and let the ECU reset, and when I fire it up again, I let the car idle for 15 minutes before driving.

With the hard pipe intake you can hear the venting sound though its quieter you can still here it. If you want to keep the ssqv just recirc it to fix your problems and still give you some of the sound. The talon/eclipse can't use the bov vta either unless he is running a gm maf blow through setup or he will have the same issues as you. The problem is that the bov vents air out of the system after the maf which tells the ecu how much air is in the system so the car is running rich and this was already said. The only way to solve this for 1g/2g eclipse is a gm maf with the bov before the maf.
