I am new to all of this but I have a few question about evoscan and what it does. First I know you can flash your ecu with this device. Does flash your ecu mean bringing your stock ecu up to par with your mods. It must externaly adjust your fuell mixture and etc. Next where do you buy Evoscan and what cables work with an evo 8 where do you buy cables that are USB or wifi connectable. Next does Evoscan clear codes and is it a scantool? Is this compatible with the iPhone? Is this compatible with vista and xp? Do you need a fastcomputer to use this because it uses alot of the computer processor? Is it easy to use? Just need to have an overview of this Evoscan and if I said ignorant stuff it because I am new to this all.
Fisrt look at the web site Evoscan. If this doesn't answer the questions you have please come back and ask. In my opinion, yes this is one of the most capable systems being able to tune and data log. Its a good choice.

My advice have someone who knows what they are doing check your tune now and retune if needed......no you cannot clear CEL's with evoscan.......buy a code scanner from autozone for $60
