Important tip!!! Check your FPR hose!!!

Hi everyone. I posted this because it happens to me. The hose that goes in to the fuel pressure regulator went off. The check engine light cames on and and the car fails at 800 rpm. I put the scanner and the code was "system lean".I called my tuner and he tell me that look after that hose. The point here is that you can blown your engine because the fuel pressure don't raise if this hose went off. I put a tie wrap in both of ends to secure it.My tuner knows about 12 people that loose their engines because of this issue.

I hope you don't mind, but I moved this to a more appropriate forum and sticked it. If it happened to you, it can happen to anyone of us and it's something we should check on a regular basis. What kinda sucks is that the nipples for the FPR are not beaded. I wonder if a little hair spray would help?

Not that it's as detrimental but the EGR valve is also not beaded and I blow the hose off that thing all the damn time!

But like Turbolarry said, zip tie any hose that has the potential to cause damage if it were to come off.
