IX Turbo, deal?

I found an Evo IX turbo with 25k~ miles on it for about $450...comes with exhaust manifold, and turbo(of course)....just wondering if this is a good deal or not? It does come with a 90 guarantee too...

90 guarantee? Is it from a business or something?

Ask about shaft play, but that's a good price. I got mine for $450 shipped, and it included all the pieces that you need for the IX to work on an VIII so that I didn't have to buy an install kit (compressor outlet pipe and oil/coolant lines).

It's very good that you get the manifold, because that will allow you to just send it to Buschur to get it ported and coated without any downtime for your car. When it comes back, just swap it in place of your stocker.

Yeah its from car salvage place...

That is what I was thinking with the manifold as well, as far as shaft play goes I'll have to check with them. I was kind of concerned if there was shaft play or not, but if there is a warranty and what not I could just send it back I would just have to deal with the hassle of doing so. But I shall check with them, thanks a lot.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me as well. In fact if you were looking to port the exhaust manifold and O2 housing I would send it straight out to Buschur or Forced Performance and have them spec it. If they call it bad then you won't be out much money (shipping and handling) and can send it back within that 90 days.

I doubt the salvage yard will know what is considered bad when it comes to a turbo.

its seems like a good deal for me if you are sure that there is nothing wrong with turbo shaftplay etc you should go ahead
