Low Boost

hi I just purchased a 05 evo8 all stock except upper and lower intercooler piping. I am trying to figure out why my boost only hits 14psi and tapers to 11psi. I have searched and found this car should be hitting 20.3 psi and tapering off to around 17. Please help

this is more then likely because the car had mods on it and most were taken off, the boost control solenoid lines were not put back on right or the pill fell out of the line.

would the pill not being in the line which i dont believe it is being that all the lines are new cause this low boost condition?

it means it wont restrict a certain amount of air from getting to the wastegate making it open early almst like its running straight off the wastegate itself with no restrictions. so either get someones stock lines or get a Manual boost controller, or find a tuner and get a electronic boost control solenoid and 3 bar map sensor.

what is the 3 bar map sensor for?

in order to tune the ecu to control boost you need a 3 bar map sensor and a 3-port boost solenoid and then you need a solid tune! this will hold boost very well and have very little taper if done properly, the cheapest solution is more then likely the manual boost controller.

Bought new stock boost lines (with the pills in them) now it boosts to 20+ and tapers off to around 17ish...
