Hi guys just picked up an 04 Evo and looking to lower it. I'm planning to go for a 2.0 inch drop on the front and 0.9 on the rear. What brand of springs do you guys recommend?

Honestly I recommend going with the Swift Spec-R springs. They work really well with the stock struts and give a drop of about 1.8 in up front and 0.8 in the rear. Anything beyond those drops and youll be starting to give up the functionality of your suspension. Springs like the Tein's usually end up with you having blown struts, so I would stay away from those.

swift, tanabe gf210's, or espeliers. only spring i reccomend. if you want ful control go with coilovers, that is wht i should have done in the first place.

There is plenty of debate with what is better, a proper spring/strut combo, or coilovers. Honestly I dont think anybody should go to coilovers until they outdrive their stock suspension with some springs. But thats just me.

Agreed. I had a set of teins on my old evo and they were super bouncy as well. Just picked up some megan coilovers for my current evo.

bilsteins and swifts are a killer combo!

Honestly, dont look for anything Megan that has to do with suspension. Its a 50/50 chance that youre going to get something decent or something thats going to let you down and make you wish that you spent your money elsewhere. There are plenty of reviews on the internet as proof to back up that statement.

The Bilstein struts with the Swift springs are beast. There are many people buying that setup and selling the struts that they have on their car. But you dont have to do that. Im running Swifts on stock Evo struts. The ride quality is a little stiffer.

See I ave heard nothing but good about the megan coilovers which actually are bc dampeners. BC makes dampeners for megan, greddy, apexi and a couple other companies. I would def rock the bc coilovers though!
