Making the swith from 'H' to an evo...have questions

ok...im looking to build a 12 second daily driver...even a 12.9999999999999999999999999999.... i figure if its a 13.5-13.8 1/4 time, i figure if i do a TBE exhaust/ re-flash/ intercooler....i thought that might put me close...if u think otherwise, lemme know....and if not,......what will (on top of the mods listed)

depending on what year you buy you can be in the 12's easy depending on your driving....little mods and a solid tune will get you there. if you go with a evo 8 all you would need for some good performance is
Boost Gauge
TBE
Intake
BOV
MBC
Fuel pump

if you want to go futhur add
IC pipes
FMIC
and Cams

All of this is whith the approriate tune

I ran a 13.1 with a bad launch, clutch went up, and I misshifted 4th with bald tires. I had a intake, TBE BOV, MBC and a bullshit mail in flash.....I would have been deep in the 12's if everything was right and I could drive like I can now. that is all stock turbo....I have seen people get into the 11's on a 03 evo 8 turbo with less mods then me....

well from what i hear, the x's r supposed to to easier to make faster than the 8's and 9's... but im not an evo expert yet...but soon...lol... what year did they start makimg the X's

08 is the only X made so far. The X's ,ake great power with basic mods but so do all the evos....they call them evolutions for a reason they do keep improving. Like I said its up to you, your budget and your style.

i do like the X and the 9 and 8 pretty equally, but i think im gunna go with the X because my wife likes the X better cause its newer and doesnt look as much like a kids car or something. i think they all look like badasses to me...lol

the X is more refined but it is also the heaveist of all the evo's...Also if you want to build a monster you could buy a cheap 8 and the rest of the money you would have spent on a X would build a killer street monster. Drive them all if you can.

I'm not a fan of the EVO X. It just looks like a customized, old galant to me vs. a newly revised ninja on wheels like the 8 and 9. I'm not wanting the X lovers to bash this post it's just my opinion, which isn't worth squat but still.

Love it or hate it, the X does preform with very little mods. It does have a bigger interior and more comfortable, but the trunk is just a oversized glove box! i will be purchasing a X within the next year and keeping my 8 for track and street terror fun.
