metal shavings in air intake.

Hi noob here!
Just got done doing regular maintenance on the car and found that their is metal shavings
inside the short cai tube to the turbo.
Is that normal ? and if not what does this mean?.

can you take a pic of which tube your talking about. is there any scraping or gouging of the turbo housing inlet where the compressor wheel is? did you check your turbo for shaft play?

how many miles is on that turbo you might have alot of shaft play...like SicLanEvo said lol i think I just pretty much asked the same question.
