need help releasing TOB out from the fork

Hey guys,im having a hard time getting my tranny out.One thing i got to do is to release a TOB from the fork.I read evo motorsports write up,but the damn thing wont come out.I pt a flathead screw driver like is says on evomotorsports write up,and i couldnd get the TOB out. After that i went bigger,i took a little prybar and try to twist it,but still no luck,i bented that steel praybar, but the TOB is still there....... M I doing something wrong,ot there is another trick on how to release the bearing??????? Thanks ....

Post a pic of what you have so far. When I did my clutch it popped right out with a little pressure. Hope you figure the problem out with the least amount of headaches as possible. Good luck.

if you bent a prybar, that would seem like your prying on the wrong thing. its hard for us to tell you since we are not there. See if you can get someone local to you to check it out. It shouldn't take more then a screwdriver......Is it the OEM Clutch? and stop prying until you figure it out. that would suck to have to replace something small just to drive the car.

On a side note is your clutch worn out? how many miles do you have and what mods? Mine lasted until 85k with over 40 drag launches and raced on some local tracks.....and I dont drive it easy.....

The act tob is your problem. Never use an aftermarket tob only use oem and you most likely wouldn't of had this problem.

yeah aftermarket TOB's just cause noise issues and the problem your having now. i have heard nothing but bad things about act's kits for the evo. How long was it on there? what are you replacing it with is the question?

dog box actually rebuilds the 6? most places will not mess with the 6 speed. its not worth upgrading is the general consensus i guess. I haven't seen any rebuild kits for the 6 only the 5. how much is dog box going to charge you?
