you cannot do a coldair intake on the evo 9......your ACD fluid reseviour is in the way. On a turbo car most people just do a regular intake because your Intercooler will cool down your compressed air. Its not like a NA car. you should read the book maxiumum boost by corky bell. Maybe it will help answer your questions. what kind of tuning do you need dyno? or just street? the software you are looking for is ecuflash. there is a great write up I think on this site for it. Its free besides the cable to use it, any efi tuner should be able to use this program and get great results

do not waste your money on a accessport......The program i mentioned is free and control every aspect of the OEM ecu unlike the accessport which is over $600 and doesn't include anything over a base map.....you would be throwing away a lot of money. What mods do you have done to your car to have so much lag? I have never had a lag issue with a stock turbo on the evo especially with mivec and the new design turbo of the evo IX. get your basic mods, intake, TBE, MBC, fuel Pump and first and foremost get a boost gauge! Then get tuned. If you get tuned now you will just be wasting money since you will need another tune if you add any parts. i was not tuned until I had all those basic mods, but there are other mods you can add too that list for more potential.

TBE=Turboback exhaust.....you say you have a Ti-c so its just a catback, to coplete it there are at least 2 more parts you need which would be a TP=Test pipe and DP=downpipe, or a DP with a cat-delete and that will the 2 parts at once....I run the DCsports DP with cat delete= great part, extra 02 bung for wideband, lighter weight, and price is not bad.

MBC=Manuel Boost Controller.....or you can go electronic but it will take time to setup and get right and cost a bunch. I use the AEM truboost which is a electronic Boost controller and gauge. The manuel Boost controller you will have to open up your hood and turn a knob to adjust PSI.

Boost gauge is up to you and your budget....autometer has them for as low as $35 and I have seen others up to $400 depending on which one you get. also some gauges like electric ones will hook up the same but different in a way. More on this when you decide what your budget is.....

Pm me any questions. I am here to help and i dont want to see another riced out or busted evo....
