Noob here from Nor*Cal

im a noob here on the forums, right now i own a 05 sti aspen white with gold wheels, i owe 8grand on it so im going to be selling it here soon. ive only had it for a month but i love it...and will be very sad to see it go, once i get the money and pay back what i owe im planning on getting a 03 evo, because ive seen them around for pretty decent prices. its gonna be red, because i miss sexy ass red cars lol. Ive owned 5 cars since i started driving in 2003....ill try and post some pics of them lol....but heres a list from start to finish: 98 dodge neon sport, 97 acura integra, 92 Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4, 94 toyota supra NA, and my current 05 STi
my friend chris drives a silver 03 evo.....but anyways just thought id introduce myself to the community. laterz

Welcome to Evotuners, but if I may, I suggest you get an 05 or 06, if you can. They should be about the same price as the 05 STI, but they will be much better and faster than an 03 Evo.

yea, well if i still wanted to owe money on a car, id probably keep the soob.....BUT im too young to owe that much moolah so ill probably go with a 03....but thanks for the tips, and is it true the evo IX runs 12.9 in the 1/4?

It's capable of 12.7, but 12.9 is more likely for a regular guy. Several have already done 12s in stock form.

wow, whats an 05 MR run? I'd find out my self but its going to be a little bit before I get the chance. I'm going to guess low 13's?

I ran 13.1@104 on my first try with my stock 05 MR. It was only a 1.92 60', though, so a 13.0 was definitely possible. The next time out, I used my SAFC as my only mod and ran 12.8@106.3. Several 05s ran 13.0s, and a few might have snuck in a 12.9 with a great launch, but that's rare.
