Oil light randomly lit up...

Maybe someone has an explanation,

To cut a long story short i was cruising at 180kph 112.5mph for aproximately 10 mins, no boost revs around 4500 and my engine oil light came on... i saw it, and as soon as it came on i immediatly stepped of the gas and it vanished..

When i got home i let the car sit for 10 mins.. checked the oil and it was fine!?

-What i thought ..-->Driving for a long period of time @ high revs the oil pump pumped the oil continuously in a pattern perhaps bypassing the sensor temporarily? I'm not sure where the sensor is located might be impossible

It could be that steady 4500 RPM with no variations resulted in a lot of "windage" (oil gathering on the crank shaft and not falling back into the oil pan) causing the oil pickup to start sucking air.... not a good thing.
