Turbo Timer Install ?

I just installed an Apexi turbo timer in my Evo 9 MR, athough, I'm not planning on using the A/F function, so I did not splice the white O2 wire. The car starts up fine and runs fine, however, the TT doesn't light up or give me any response. The parking brake switch wire I tapped into may not be the correct one. I spliced into the single BLUE wire attached to the very bottom of the parking brake. Is that the correct one? Also, I may need to move my grounding wire. Hopefully that is the only problem and things will work fine once I change its location. If anything besides the grounding wire appears incorrect, please let me know asap. Thanks in advance

It sounds like it is probably the ground wire if you are not getting any response from the TT. Based on what you said, it doesn't sound like it would be the parking brake wire.

I thought the parking brake wire was purple? LOL, I might be way off since I installed my TT awhile ago. But for some reason I remember a purple wire...

Okay, the parking brake wire might be purple...lol. It was dark and I was using a flashlight at the time. I'll try moving the grounding wire somewhere else this weekend. Thanks for the help guys!

The ground has to be solid. I had the same problem with mine by not properly grounding the unit. Also make sure the E-brake connection is rock solid. A voltmeter/ohmeter tester is a great tool to have.

O2 Sensor splice wire?

Okay, I've decided that I want to use the A/F function on my TT. Can someone please direct me as to which wire I need to splice into?

It's not useful, because it only reads narrowband o2. The only useful o2 reading is a wideband o2, which requires a wideband o2 sensor.

Ahh, okay. Thanks Clay Do you run an A/F gauge? Or is it really not too important as long as I have a tune from Justin?

Yes, I have an AEM UEGO mounted on my steering column along with my boost gauge. I wanted it right in my face for road racing, especially since I run alky injection.

It's a good mod, but you won't need one for the tune - Justin handles that. It's still always a good thing to have, but it's not that important for just a regular modded Evo.
