Wanted: Advice on the brake in period

How long do i relistically have to wait till i can go over 5000rpm, and why is it so unfair lol i love the car, but i driving gears ahead of what i need to so i dont have the turbo kick in

It's not so bad staying below 5k rpm. We hit peak torque in the 3500-3700rpm range depending on gear (higher gear = more load = earlier spool). Just be sure to hit boost hard and often, but don't rev above 5k FOR THE FIRST 500 MILES in order to let the engine and head break in. Also, don't hit the brakes hard or shift the trans hard until you surpass 300 miles or so.

To reiterate, do NOT stay out of boost. Staying below 5000rpms and staying out of boost are 2 completely separate things. No one told you not to boost!!

my mentality was always drive like you stole it. even when i walked out the dealership. You know how it is the moment you have a badass car that you can call yours. Your adrenaline rushing your palms start sweating...lol... Luckily nothing bad happened but my advice to anyone looking to pick one up soon, take care of her and she'll take care of you.
