Evo 8 Purchase

Hey guys, Im new here, and i have a couple questions for you.

Heres the situation, im going into Junior year of highschool coming up in the next couple weeks. I live in Illinois, and ive always wanted to get an Evo 8.

Does anyone know how much I could get one from an auction. Becuase obviously my parents arent going to throw down 20,000 for my birthday. But im really not sure if i would do anything to it besides fix up the stuff thats wrong with the car to start.

Im looking more at an 03 to 05 Evo 8.

If anyone can PLEASE help me that would be amazing.

Not sure what help we can give. It's not normal for an average person to buy a car at an auction. If you can't get 20k for a normal used one, then you probably don't want one from an auction that could have anything and everything wrong with it. You'd then need a lot of money to do repairs and maintenance maybe.

Also, the cost of owning an Evo is far more than the initial cost of the car. You probably should not even be thinking about a car like an Evo as a junior in high school. It's a money pit, very dangerous, and if you don't make enough money to pay for it yourself, you should probably consider something else, imo.
