I was thinking of getting cruise control on my car as I commute over 300 miles a week on the highway, and it gets old. Has anyone had CC installed? Where'd you get it done and does it work well? What kind of shop would do a good job on the install? The only kit I know of is the Rostra kit, and you can buy it on lancershop.com.
Yeah, from the reports on EvoM, it works pretty well. I guess I was more interested on what local place would be best for the install, and if anyone local had a good job done on theirs in any particular place...
Your Evo is bumpy and rattles, I've never had either one of those issues. Oh wait a second, I forgot yes I do. My evo 8 feels like a 82 corolla at times. but then I remember I've got 350 hp under the hood, turn up the radio and forget about it.
And no offense to you X owners, but I wouldn't ever buy a long block made out of aluminum. I don't know what Mitsubishi was thinking. But then again you look at the STi's and they're all aluminum too. That's probably why I didn't get one. And the fact it's a boxer engine. Who wants to work on that?
But going back to the original post. CC would be nice, I also commute every day over 60 miles. There are times when I'd like to just recline my seat, open a book, set my CC and take a quick nap. Come on guys, CC on a boosted car is like mixing honey and vinager. They weren't meant to be together...If you want a cruiser, get a lexus or something
LOL read a book while driving. NICE. That takes some talent there.. But It would be nice to have cuz when i go up to denver I am always goin WAY over the speed limit, and with CC i might be able to calm that down a bit.
haha i've had cruise on half my cars and i never even used it! when i bought the TSX i thought that i was going to LOVE all the luxury stuff and i just ended up feeling like i was 50yrs old!! dammit i'm young! i love my evo
