Anyone have a stock Evo cat I can borrow?

I need a stock cat or a handshake inspection station.

I'm in the Springs - anyone able to help?

I've got one, but I'm in denver. Also, when I tried to remove it, I found that the set of bolts on the midpipe section were welded on (well, not ACTUALLY welded, but you know what i mean). So as a result the cat and midpipe are both still connected. All yours if you wish to borrow it though.

Yeah, same thing happened to me, which is why I had to destroy my cat when doing a cat-back.

I could probably use the whole stock cat and cat-back portion, but that's much more difficult to transport.

true, it would be difficult to transport, as that midpipe/cat section wont fit inside our cars. Well, if you think of a way to make it work, let me know. I can also give another try at wrenching those bolts, since I'm not under the car, I may be more successful.

Don't even think about trying that in CA.

Clayton,
Do you have to pass a visual inspection too?

Not sure, but I would likely pass that, since it's a resonated test pipe and looks like a cat to the casual observer.

Here in CA they do an underhood inspection too. The last time I went in they did a whole vacuum line inspection (no MBC's).
Be careful.

Ah, they don't care about things like that in other states. Such things have nothing to do with emissions or safety.

Hash, I am. You think you could bring it down for the tuning session?

I have an aftermarket cat, will you need to plug the factory O2 sensor into it or do you have a O2 bung in the cat-back section?

VIIIs have the bung in the cat-back, so I would need a cat with no bung.

A HFC would probably pass - you don't mind if I borrow it?

Yeah no prob, I'll bring it down for the session. I think I still have the factory gaskets to if you wanted to try and use those.
