Clutch time...

So, I'm in the market for a new clutch. I'm really on a budget, so I'm mainly looking at singe disk clutches... unless there's a good deal to be had! Does anybody have any suggestions on where I could get a hold of an Exedy single or equivalent?

BTW: I've just got basic bolt on mods

Yeah, I'm not much help there. I recommend the Exedy Twin despite the extra cost.

Yeah, I'd love to get my hands on one of those. Do you know if there are any deals one twins out there? I'm kinda stuck with my budget... and can't go any higher than $700.

Nothing close to $700. I did an organic single my first time for the same reasons and found myself doing it again in less than a year.

I have a ACT 6-Puck. Its not a bad clutch I did mine when i first bought the car.
It has probobally close to 100 Launches on it. Its still good. Just get the up-graded Pressure plate. cuz mine rattles and after a lot of launches the Pressure plate starts to give out, but the Clutch is great and they go for pretty cheap.

Wow... that's pretty cheap! Which pressure plate did you use, and where'd you get it from?

I got it from a buds shop down in the springs.
I went with the basic Plate cuz I never thought Id be where I am now. when I bought it I was content with the car and didn't think I would Mod it anymore then i did at the time (which was just a intake and Exhaust) but one thing led to another and now I am here.

But But if you get this one get there up graded Plate so it has more gripping force.

Lumpskie, the Exedy stages can get confusing. What is the name of the Stage 2 you are referring to? The "stage 2" I had was a sprung 4-puck single cerametallic disc. I did a write-up on EvoM (may have copied it here - can't remember). It was awesome for racing, but it was no fun for DD. I only had it for a few months as a test for Exedy.

Hey Clay,

Here's the clutch I was thinking about...

EXEDY Globalparts Corporation | High Performance and OEM Clutches and Flywheels

I was asking around on Evom and it looks like this may be the one that you tested...
