CO Custom Flashed!!!

I got a custom flash tune last night on my car on Super Rupair's dyno in Boulder by Justin from Cheyenne. Justin is a well know tuner for the area and he proved that last night once again. I was only tuned with an SAFC-II and put down 271WHP for my baseline, for those who don't know the Dyno Dynamics dyno is a low reading dyno and those are UN-CORRECTED numbers, I did 312WHP corrected at Carz with my SAFC tune. After that pull, Justin noticed that not only did my boost spike at almost 22.5 lbs., but my car was knocking a little down low and above 6000rpm it got really high.
After that he flashed a base map of his that was similar to my mods and turned down the boost to 21 lbs., and went from there making changes to fit my car better. The end result was 270.9WHP and 278 Ft-lbs.. Now, some may look and say "he didn't make any more power", but when you look at it, he made the same power I was at before on 1.5lbs. less boost, my car had NO knock, and the mid range power came up lot and was definetely noticable when I drove it.
So if anyone is looking to get a custom flash done by someone that really cares about your car, and getting it tuned right and is a really good tuner, get a hold of Justin. He is willing to come down when ever you have the time and will tune where ever you would like. I would like to thank Harvey at Super Rupair for staying late on a Friday night to accommodate for my schedule.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I can get ahold of Justin for you, or else I will have him post on this thread a way to contact him as well.....

Glad I was able to get you guys hooked up. Look for much more of this here in the RMEVO community. Justin is my tuner of choice for Northern Colorado, so anyone who needs a tune, I will be referring him/her to Justin.

PS. His prices are unbelievable, too, so you guys should be excited. If anyone out there still has an SAFC, it's time to ditch that sucker and get a real tune...

I just got back from running a few errands and I noticed how much smoother my car feels, Justin has an extra software tool on top of ecuflash that shows the fuel and timing maps in 3D so that he can make changes to smoothen out an rough areas in order to get the best/smoothest power delivery....

Well, the other part of it is that an SAFC simply can't give you the tune that a flash can. It has no control over timing, so it can't give a proper tune. There's absolutely no reason to use an SAFC anymore with the release of EcuFlash.

I'm glad your happy with the tune! I'm really short on time (on lunch break) but I wanted to drop in and say it was a pleasure working with you and your car! I am glad we were able to acomplish what we did in such a short time frame. It was what, about 45 min we got it dialed in pretty well? The car was in a very good state of health when it arrived with the exception of the knock I logged at 6K+ RPM. There were no boost leaks, fouled plugs, improper installation of parts.. The car was squared away and ready for the tune which only makes my job that much easier. I can spend time tuning rather than troubleshooting.

It's always a pleasure to tune cars like yours. And with that said I hope to see it again, next time with some more mods maybe

Take care,
Justin

Haole,

Let me know what you can do in reference to the PM. I've got some new toys I want to play with on your car.
