It is true, we tried. My 03 hotside would not clear his 06 turbine. So don't tell me it isn't true when I have first hand knowledge. Besides, pay attention, an 03 housing is a 9.8 not 10.5

Well, I have firsthand knowledge, too. It's on my car right now. I don't know what caused your problem, but it wasn't normal. The hotsides are interchangeable for any year USDM Evo. My stock 10.5 hotside can fit on an 03/04 and on an 06. The 06 hotside fit on my 05, and therefore could fit on an 03/04. There is also 0 documentation or information stating that the IX has a larger hotside. It is only documented as being the same 10.5 hotside as the 05s. Again, I'm not sure what caused your issue, but it goes against the facts.

Is there any flaw in that logic?

Reread my post...the 03 is a 9.8 and it doesn't fit on a 9

You didn't say it was an 03 in your first post. You just said "VIIIs." Also, 9.8s fit on 05s. It doesn't make sense that it wouldn't fit on a IX.

Pay attention? You can be a dick if you want (like me), but don't be a dick when it's not warranted. You never said anything about it being an 03 before this post. You didn't say it was the o2 from your car either...

Ok brainiac, whatever you want to think. I was there, with 3 other people. My stock 03 hotside would not fit on his 06 turbo. And forgive me for implying that is was an 03 housing since I have an 03 and no longer have my stock turbo on the car.

Edited original statement to make you feel better about me being a dick.....damn you get worked up over some dumb crap.

Again, you did not say it was from your car. You just referred to VIIIs in general and made no mention of your car or your turbo, not even through implication.

No more than you do. Not sure why you'd make that comment. You flew off the handle at me, not vice versa. Check your attitude, please.

LOL...you haven't seen me worked up. You didn't know what I was talking about so you called me out. So excuse me for omitting one minor detail. And don't ever tell me to check my attitude, polite or not. I'm not violating any rules on this board.

On the other hand I've seen you violate these two rules often...but that's just observation.

No Guessing - if you don't know the answer for sure, don't reply - don't spread misinformation. If your reply contains phrases like "I think", or "I've heard", or "everyone else does it", or "my brother's uncle's friend did it and had no problems" - it is not useful. Only post a reply if YOU know the answer from YOUR own first-hand experience. Instead of replying with a guess, post a link to a thread where the answer can be found, or the same discussion already took place.
Explain your answer in detail. If someone is asking about which clutch is best for their application, don't just say "ACT 2600". Explain to them why you think the ACT 2600 is the best for their application. If you don't know why, then you probably aren't experienced enough to be answering their question in the first place.

Well this doesn't seem organized at all, and everyone seems to be sidetracking on turbo sizes and what not, how about anyone interested on getting a tune please pm me, or just with a date range that you would prefer, I will try to gather all the information and try to settle a date that would work for everyone. Then after that we will try to assign times ranges for everyone on the finalized list that way people won't have to sit around for 8 hours waiting for others to be tuned because I know time is valuable =D. Let me know if that sounds good, or if you have any suggestions, please contact me by either pm or for me to call you, just leave me your number and name in the pm if you would like to me contact you guys, thanks a lot.

Hey guys, tuning space is limited, we are planning an ideal number of five people, so far Jon has confirmed through Pm that he is interested, that leaves three more spots, please contact me ASAP, Justin will have prices for us soon, thanks.

Hey guys, looks like we have five who are in on the tuning meet. So far it is me (Tan), WANTED (Jon), Evolvd (Brian), element3927 (Evan), and evo_guy22 (Chuck). Everyone seems to be busy on the first week of July, so I was thinking second or third week of July. Please pm me with your numbers if you haven't already, and I will call you guys. If you are interested but haven't got a chance to pm me please do so still just in case someone has an emergency or anything then we can still fill that spot, thanks a lot.

I thought Jon was only available this week or next. Check with him to be sure.

Also, you can probably fit 7-8 people in if you have the dyno all day (8 hours).
