Justin, if we ever come up with a reason to get you all the way down to the Springs, I'm gonna have you do some tunes on the RP dyno (or on the road) for E-85. I need to get the injectors, but more stations are getting it, and it only makes sense for me to start using it.
Thanks for the race map Justin even if we couldn't quite nail it down.
For anyone wanting to know I put down 430 hp and 405 tq with 114 race gas. I don't know what the correction factor was but on the highway the car is an animal!
I'd like to start out by saying everything went so well that it was scaring me. First time meeting Justin, Brian and Troy, great guys and very friendly. I would like to thank Brian(evolved) for helping me with the MBC install, and thank you Justin too for the installs, and working so hard with me before getting my car tuned. Thanks for all the tips and advice really made a difference when you know what you really want before jumping straight into investing money on things. Getting back on track I would like to say the way my car runs after the tune doesn't even have a word to describe, its like a whole different car. Idle is smoother, I picked up good numbers, and the car just feels a lot better. I highly recommend anyone interested in a tune, go with Justin, its affordable, its quality, and its easy. Thanks again everyone, and Harvey is a character btw haha
They usually use a static 1.15 CF for turbo'd cars. Even at that CF, 430/405 is quite stout up here. I put down 324/348 after adding the IX turbo running 26psi on alky, which puts me in the 12.1-12.2 range with 111-112mph traps. Another 100whp on top of that would be 120+mph traps.
I had an awesome time up there, and justin got my car back into proper working order, power is up across the board, and the car feels a whole lot better.
Anyone that wants a tune, Justin is the guy to do it.
Nice to meet you guys, sorry I didn't stick around the rest of the day, I wanted to see brian's car run on the dyno.
I called Justin yesterday and am glad to hear him say how many great cars were there! Brian I wish I could have been there to see you add that 114oct to your beast because thats the same fuel I am running and I would have liked to have seen how our cars stacked up since you have the 50 trim, ill give you a shout after work to see how it feels. Tan, glad to see the turbo and what not worked put well for you! I was telling Justin last night it should make good power since it came off my car haha . Hope to see you all next time.
I was really impressed with how much power Bkuddah's '03 was putting down with just a IX turbo upgrade...his engine is really strong and is probably one of the freak motors from Mitsu. Justin kept commenting about how thirsty the engine was and it definitely showed during the tune. The car just would not let up! I highly recommend some cams and a retune to carry that power more towards redline.

Unfortunately my car has a weird tendancy to knock between 2000-3500 RPM (early spool) which was baffling myself and Justin. No matter how much timing was pulled it would still retard and dump fuel causing it to bog. After 3500 it would scream towards redline. My only gripe is that I only had 5 gallons of 114 and had to make it back to Cheyenne on that. My gas needle was buried at the bottom and I was probably suckin fumes so I really only had two or three short pulls on the highway to get a feel for the race.
My pump numbers were 355/310 which is about a 40 hp loss from sea level but my torque didn't go down. I know my car still feels strong so I don't worry about the dyno...it's just a number. I really need to get down to Bandimere and make some passes to see where I'm really at. As long as I can still hold 115'ish on pump I'll be happy.

Weird thing is.. Even with the higher octane fuel it was still (thinking) it was knocking even though I had less timing in those areas of the map than the pump gas tune. A definate indication that it's something resonating and the knock sensor is picking that noise up as knock... We'll have to do some investigating.. I think you might have a bracket or something loose..
Thank you Justin for the awesome tune! Definitely like the pwr inrease! Also, idle is much smoother now that the cone filter is factored into the ecu, and it seems my gas mileage has jumped up a bit as well. I'm anxious to get the tbe and fuel pump intstalled to top off the last bit of mods for this year, before I start looking to really reach my goal of about 450 - 500 whp. Thank you again! Truly appreciate you and your work!
Thanks a lot for the turbo and everything else John, everything has been running great and smoothly. Cams are definitely in my next upgrade followed by a new front mount =]
Oh and hey Clayton, I saw that you were gonna upgrade your injectors, I have a set of brand new 880cc Precision injectors, that I was going to use for E85 tune but decided not to, I'll be willing to give em to you for how much I bought em. Let me know if you're interested, I got them for $300.
Tan, I'm interested, but you don't usually get back all your money on a re-sell. =P I'll have to check prices with my sponsors first.
Evovld, with 355 on pump, I would expect right at 114-115mph traps at Bandi. I did 109.5 with 299 and expect 111-112 with the 325 I have now, although if you go in the dead of summer, it might not be as fast.
