De-Winged

Hey guys, sorry I know this is probably in the forums somewhere, but how easy is it to dewing the Evo 8? How many holes are there going to be when I take it off? And what do you guys use to fill the holes? Are there custom plugs you can purchase that have been painted to match your car?

Theres 4 holes and double sided tape on it. I removed a customers to have it repaired. We did not cover the holes up with anything because we put the wing back. Ive seen people put a black rubber plug in them. Maybe you could get something like that painted and then place them in there. My wing is off my car because I have a carbon fiber trunk and have not put the wing on that trunk. i like it off.

HOW TO REMOVE WING.

Open trunk.
Remove 4 bolts holding wing on.
Remove wing by pulling up on it. It is hard because of the double sided tape.
Your done.

Sweet, sound pretty easy. Just like de-badging the car. I'll have to run to Homedepot for some plugs, and then to the paint shop for some oem paint, unless someones got some rr paint I could use. Regardless, I'm lookin forward to having her de-winged. I had cops following me all night last night, and this wing definitely isn't helpin the situation.

Like Scott said, Remove the wing first, then go to the store.

Shit I don't know, when I took my car in to have the clutch replaced I asked Lucas what he thought it might be pulling, he said 270-280 hp, so I just went with that. I'm sure it's probably off, but what the hell. And I wasn't thinking but this car has AWD I should have written this out differently. Coming from a mod'd Lexus IS300, I keep forgetting this is AWD when I'm talking numbers. Duh

You can always get the other wing that REX speed sells, it looks nice for dewinged cars. It goes right over the holes. Some of you know what I am talkin about.
