I don't think we can be friends anymore if you trade your VIII in for a X.

No, I probably won't do it, but I won't lie, the thought has crossed my mind (more than once). But, I would of course put my car back to stock as much as possible.

Would anyone in the spots 2-4 be willing to trade spots? I play for the Colorado Rush Pro indoor soccer team in the Springs and just found out that we will be playing at 7:30 pm on Sat here in the Springs (its a makeup game from earlier this season). My car is going to already be at Carz and I will be driving up in the morning for the meet.

I would really appreciate if someone can help me out and would be willing to trade something from my store for the help. I own a few retail cell phone store and can give up an SD card, charger, bluetooth etc...

Doowop, can you please be here by 8:30am so we can get you strapped down and ready when Justin gets here. Also I wanted to add that the latest that I can stay here is till 7pm, I have some personal plans that I need to attend to later that evening. Justin and I have our work cut out for us this saturday so we will do our best to get everyone done and tuned hopefully by 7pm. If for some reason we do not get everyone done we will have to reschedule those of you for the following Saturday Febuary 2nd.

A few guidelines that I would like to suggest to make this run as smoothly as possible.
1. Check your tire pressure and make sure it is within spec of the tire mfg.
2. Check your oil level and add any if neccesary.
3. Check your Coolant level and add any if neccesary.
4. Make sure that you have no boost leaks and all of your couplers are tight.
5. Make sure your spark plugs are in good condition, I have some in stock if you need any.
6. Boost controllers must be easily accessable to use for us to tune you properly.

For those of you doing 91oct to E85 tunes. Please show up with very minimal 91 in your tank. If you wish I can drain your tank for a $35.00 charge. Any questions please ask!

I've got 5 gallons of 104 oct that I'm bringing with me for a second map. I plan on showing up with about 1/4 tank of 91 oct for the first tune. This should be good right guys? I figure this will be what I try to do when going to the track also so the fuel mix will be about the same.

Also, does anyone know which spring comes in the Forge UNOS boost controller? Does it come with the stiffer spring already in it or is the stiffer one the extra that came with it? Wondering if I'll need to switch it in order to raise to boost up to a safe race gas level. I don't want to hold up the dyno while switching out springs..

I may still be able to make it, I'll probably have to bring my 3 month old along though.

Sounds good Russ! Glad that there is still hope!

It wouldn't be the first time I've tuned with a little on in the back

Man Justin I can't beleive you are leaving in like a month. I guess Lucas is going to have to tune my car after the head studs and cams are installed.

Thanks Lucas for doing such a great job on the Clutch replacement. The ACT Street seems to be working perfectly, no complaints here. The clatter is hardly noticable. I'll stop in sometime Saturday to see some of the dyno pulls. I'm eager to see what everyone else has done to their EVOs and will hopefully give me some idears on where I'll take mine. Got the tyres replaced Monday but I'm still needing a new set of brake pads. Anyone know how much it'll cost to replace them? Regardless, I'll see y'all Saturday. PEACE

- Steve

Thought I'd share a photo that inspired me to buy the EVO...

Go with what War has the hawk pads they are good. I have the project mu they are ok. Also while you are there upgrade the discs. I wint with the slotted Brembro rotors. It is all up to you what you want and need but the brake system is good on these but the weak link is the stock rotors and pads.

Bam thanks for the info. I'm probably just gonna replace the pads for now. Just dumped $700 on new Falken Tyres, and another $700 for the clutch work. I'll check around on pricing for the Hawk Pads. Is there a model or type I should be looking at?

In regards to the slotted rotors, has anyone had any issues with these? coming from the IS300 world when guys would switch over to the slotted disc they'd have a bunch of issues, from noise to rubbing, and early pad deterioration.

Thanx

- Steve

Looks like there's the HP and HP Plus Series Hawk Pads, price is almost the same for each.

You are going to have noise with high porformance pads. I have always had that issue. But mine are not even noticable unless I am backing up and going really slow.
