ruh roh... does #5 apply to IX's also? I heard the OEM pump is stronger than average. I'm running a hallman Pro RX and catless Invidia TBE...

Al, I'll contact you and discuss my options/goals.

No, not on a IX, but it is a good idea.

Ok, I thought so. I ordered one anyway just to be safe. If it's here before friday I'll install it. Are there any precautions I should take if I'll be using it to drive to the Springs?

No precautions necessary. With or without the fuel pump installed, you can drive down here normally (boost boost boost).

I will ask, but I doubt it. They haven't stocked race gas in the past. You also need to bring whatever octane you will have direct access to in your home town.

Clay,

I'll be getting into town on Sat. afternoon sometime and I'll probably be running by the shop first to pick up the MBC from Al. But afterwards I'd like to do a leak test and install the MBC and hook it up to the alky injection, so if there's a possiblilty of doing this could you PM me your contact info and or address so I can swing by while the others are doing the same stuff? Also, with the alky injection, should I be running different plugs or anything else that I can pick up before I head up there?

Thanks again,

-Brandon

I can do the leak test and install the MBC, but you'll have to figure out how to tie in the alky to the boost system. I didn't do that part, but if you have an SMC kit, then we could mimic my setup. I have a multi-pronged tee fitting for all my things that need a vaccuum source.

PM'd with address and phone numbers. Call me that afternoon to let me know when you're coming over. I'll probably already have someone at the house doing the same things. If we can't figure out the boost tie-in to the alky, the guys at the shop should be able to figure it out.

I recommend NGK BR8ES gapped to .024.

Clay
I know you're pretty busy, but if you could find an answer to my question, so I know whether or not to try and make plans to drive down from denver, I'd appreciate it.

thanks!

Sorry, I posted it in EvoM thinking Al might see it there.

If I stop by for this tuning session, would you be able to flash it this time?
