warrtalon,
on the evom board it is said that there is no need for an appt for a base flash. can i just swing by on sunday and get it done for my stock IX???
oh yeah and just bring the money. or do i still need to pay the deposit?
No deposits or timeslots needed for base flashes. Just show up during the scheduled tuning times on Sunday. You can bring $199 cash or pay it up front via PayPal.
Thanks Clay & Al! Engine runs great @ 22psi and feels really smooth and pulls hard. I have a few mods to do before he comes out here again. Most likely will be putting on a AVCR soon!
Glad you guys enjoyed your tunes. Al said things went well today, so that was good to hear.
BigD, your peak number difference wasn't high, but you had a section at the top with 20whp gains, and a section at the bottom with 30-40whp/30-40wtq gains with increased spool. I'm sure that's the part you feel the most. You're right about it being solid to redline. I made only 28whp more than you with my cams/o2/header/alky, but that was only in the mid-range. My boost and HP fall off dramatically on the top, but your curve stays almost flat. By 7000rpm, our power is identical. IXs are just nasty. Since the MIVEC only works up to 6k rpm, that gives me an idea that the slight change on the IX turbo helps it sustain boost at this altitude while my 05 stocker simply can't do it. This makes me feel better about my plan to slap on a used stock IX turbo to see if it helps me sustain more top-end boost.
