Agreed. I got more area under the curve which is exactly what I wanted.

I already turned the boost up a bit higher than stock because of the existing rich condition from the factory, so maybe that's why I didn't see much peak power gain. The before and after dyno charts showed the AFR to be roughly the same from the low end to midrange, but the high end was hemmoraging fuel at a 9:1 AFR... The low end gains were from timing, the high end gains were from leaner AFR. I'm happy. (:

Adam showed me the numbers for seal level correction, and it showed over 305 at the wheels. Altitude is teh suxors.

Yes, and 305whp on a DD at sea level is equivalent to 350whp on a Dynojet, which is right in line with a well-tuned custom Dynoflashed IX on Al's home Dynojet.

Other than the minor mishaps that happened today, overall, it was well worth it. The drive home from the Springs was very nice.

Quickly noticed a stronger on-boost feel and a much smoother off-boost feel. Oddly enough, Al dailed me in at about 18~19 psi, and tapering to about 15. It definately feels quicker than before yet we didnt have to crank the boost to get there. Even when I first dyno'd the car, stock, I was sitting at about 18.5psi.

All in all, very happy.

Thanks guys,

Rich L

well besides the weather sucking and Revolutions being closed it was a pretty good day. my car is a lot smoother with the cams tuned, the power isnt so JATO rocket like. it eases in and then pulls to the top. i'm pleased and i'll hit Mac next week and let everyone know what #s i pull.

Warr, Al, anybody. I noticed on my way back home on saturday from the springs that my Forge RS BOV was fluttering in only 5th gear at WOT. I thought it was just an adjustment issue so last night I messed around with it a little. I tryed every adjustment and still no fix. The BOV valve holds boost fine in 1st through fourth gear, but for some reason it wont hold the same amount in fifth. I talked to lewis at Forge and he swears to me it is not the BOV. Any thoughts?

Blah. You're saying it flutters at WOT in 5th?

yeah, I think my boost might be too high still, I adjusted it back to what it was set at before the race gas but it still peaks at like 22 23 psi. I'll turn it down some more and give it a try.

I was having a problem with my forge bov fluttering in fifth gear at WOT. I just adjusted it a little and it works fine now.
