Evo Meet May 4th

We are meeting up at the Castle Rock outlet malls. The meet is at sunday @ 11 am in the SW parking lot.

The guys from up North are meeting the Park Meadows Dillards parking lot and then driving down together to meet up the the Springs guys at Catle Rock. We are meeting at Dillards at 10-1030 and then driving to The outlet malls around 11 or so.

Since I'm a bike guy I'm used to mountain cruises, which also sounds pretty sweet for our EVOs. I propose a mountain cruise with a late lunch at the end.

Downtown Springs is out. Too hard to get parking for everyone.

Garden of the Gods sounds interesting...questions though
1. will it be busy seeing it is nicer weather out
2. do you have to pay to drive up to the top
3. is there places to eat up there

How much further is Fountain from the Springs?

USAFA will they let us park there or do we need passes, permits, permission.

Warrtulip has fallen off the face of the earth. He is MIA. We will need to send out a search party for him.

Oh I see how you are Josh...it's a 45 minute drive for C.Springs guys to get to Denver whereas it's over an hour for me. So now I gotta drive two hours? Sheesh! I'm striking!

see what those negative "RS" comments cause you!

The broadmoor won't allow this kind of event to go on in their lot, cheyenne mtn. zoo will be just as crowded as garden of the gods with limited parking. there any decent size city parks around??? manitou springs area?

the first meet I ever went to in my evo was at the citadel mall towards the middle of the springs, we ate at the hooters there. lots of parking, it's a mall, so food is easy. good place for photos? probably not.

Mapquest says it's 1 hour 10 minutes. That's speed limit and they always pad it by a few. So maybe 50 minutes. Still takes me longer to get to Denver from Cheyenne!

I think Garden of the Gods would be really cool. But on weekends have fun trying to find a parking space. I go like 3 times a month and drive around fo 30min trying to find a spot. We will have to go really early if you want to have it in the park. The visitors center is really not as cool as the park.

Academy

I work on the academy, Some places are still open to the public. I can check this out, won't be a realy fun cruise though. The only real place to get to that is interesting on the base is to park next to the B-52 or make it up to the Cadet Chapel. Like mentioned before there is no speeding on base. Let me know if you want me to check it out
